Thyatira

The smallest and least famous of the seven — an inland workshop town of trade guilds (its one other New Testament appearance is Lydia, 'a seller of purple from Thyatira,' Acts 16:14) — and it receives the LONGEST of the seven letters (Rev 2:18-29), from 'the Son of God,' the title's only occurrence in Revelation. Its crisis was economic: the guild feasts in the gods' honor were where business happened, and the prophetess the letter code-names Jezebel taught the congregation to go along.
