Bezalel

The craftsman of the tabernacle — son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and the first person in the Bible said to be filled with the spirit of God, which is given him for skill in workmanship: 'to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver and bronze, in cutting stones and carving wood' (Exodus 31:1-5). He made the ark, the lampstand and the bronze altar. 2 Chronicles 1:5 notes that his altar was still standing at Gibeon in Solomon's day, which links the new temple's worship directly back to Moses.
