EVERYTHING THAT STANDS — a collective noun for living existence, built on the verb qum, to rise or stand up; not 'property' but everything upright and breathing. ⭐ It is in exactly THREE verses of the Hebrew Bible, confirmed by consonantal search across all 929 archived Old Testament chapters, and two of them are the Flood: Genesis 7:4 and 7:23, both for what the water wiped off the face of the ground. The third is Deuteronomy 11:6, where it goes down the hole that opens under Dathan and Abiram — so the Bible's word for what a flood destroys is used once, of a sinkhole in the desert. ⚠ The shelf mostly reads it as a quantity rather than a category: the KJV has 'all the substance that was in their possession', the Geneva and the Douay-Rheims both 'substance'.
