To BE HOT — and so, of animals, to be in heat and to conceive; Genesis 30:38-39 and 31:10 use it of Jacob's flocks breeding. ⚠ It is the verb at Psalm 51:7 (English 51:5), 'in sin my mother CONCEIVED me' — and the KJV admits the oddity in its own margin: 'conceive: Heb. WARM ME'. What the verse claims is genuinely disputed; note only that the psalm draws no doctrine from it and turns immediately to what God delights in. → first discussed at Psalms 51:7
