A ROBE — a long garment, the formal or distinguishing kind: what the scribes walk about in (Mark 12:38), what the father puts on the returning son (Luke 15:22), and in Revelation what the martyrs are given (6:11) and what the great crowd has washed (7:9, 7:13, 7:14, 22:14). Five of its Revelation occurrences are the same crowd and the same garment. → first discussed at Rev 22:14
