sparganoo σπαργανόω sparganoo

To WRAP IN STRIPS OF CLOTH — what was done to any newborn. ⚠ It occurs twice in the New Testament, both in Luke 2 (vv7 and 12), which is why the angel's SIGN cannot be the wrapping: every baby was wrapped. The sign is the wrapping plus the feeding trough — an address, not a description. → first discussed at Luke 2:7
