To PITCH A TENT, to encamp — the verb from skēnē, the wilderness tabernacle. ⚠ It occurs five times in the New Testament and belongs to two books only: John 1:14 and Revelation 7:15, 12:12, 13:6, 21:3. So the same verb opens the Gospel — 'the Word became flesh and PITCHED HIS TENT among us' — and closes the Bible's last vision, where the tent of God is with humanity and he will pitch his tent with them. ⚠ Revelation 21:3 puts the noun and the verb in one sentence, and no version on either shelf keeps them as one word: KJV/ASV/DRB 'tabernacle... dwell', NIV 'dwelling place... dwell', RV 'tabernáculo... morará'. → first discussed at Rev 21:3
