ruach רוּחַ ruach

Wind, breath, spirit — hovering at creation (1:2), sent to end the flood (8:1); one word, three English registers. ⚠ Ecclesiastes 3 exploits that on purpose and no version can keep up: 'one RUACH for all of them' at 3:19 makes human and animal breath the same thing, and 3:21 asks about the ruach of each. RV renders the very same word 'respiración' at v19 and 'espíritu' at v21, two verses apart, so a Spanish reader cannot see that the argument turns on one noun. → first discussed at Gen 1:2
