To MEET, encounter, fall upon — and in the causative, to make something meet someone. It frames Isaiah 53: at v6 Jehovah makes the iniquity of us all MEET him (hiphgiaʿ), and at v12 the servant makes intercession for transgressors (yaphgiaʿ) — the same verb in the same form, running the opposite way. Everything comes in at v6 and something goes back out at v12. Every English version splits the two into unrelated words ('laid on', 'made intercession'), so the frame is invisible.
