A STOREHOUSE, a treasury — the place a king keeps what he has not yet spent, grain or silver alike. ⭐ At Deuteronomy 28:12 the heavens are his good storehouse, opened to give rain in its season; the noun stands in two verses of this book, the other being 32:34, where God’s vengeance is sealed up in my storehouses. Job 38:22 asks whether a man has entered the storehouses of the snow, and Malachi 3:10 tells Israel to bring the tithe into the storehouse so that the windows of heaven open — this verse’s rain again (neither yet on these pages). The KJV and ASV read ‘his good treasure, the heaven’, the NIV ‘the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty’, the NWT 1984 ‘his good storehouse’; the RV 1909 «su buen depósito», the RV60 «su buen tesoro», the TNM 1987 «su buen almacén». → first discussed at Deut 28:12
