A DRINK OFFERING — wine poured out beside a sacrifice, from nasakh, to pour. With the minchah (grain offering) it made up the DAILY service, presented every morning and evening with the lamb (Exodus 29:38-42; Numbers 28). ⚠ That is why Joel 1:9 is the theological centre of his first chapter: when the harvest fails there is no flour and no wine, so the daily offering simply cannot be made.
