TO DRIVE AWAY, thrust off a road — in the causative, to push somebody off the way they were walking on. ⭐ It is the spine of Deuteronomy 13, which is built as three ascending cases that share nothing except this verb: the prophet does it (13:6), the relative does it (13:11, the identical word), and the scoundrels do it to a whole town (13:14) — once per case, in order. ⚠ The form at 13:14, va-yadichu, stands in that verse alone in the whole Hebrew Bible.
