UNLEAVENED BREAD — flat cakes made without leaven, and the sign of a departure too fast for dough to rise: 'they baked the dough… into cakes of UNLEAVENED bread, for it was not leavened, because they had been driven out of Egypt and could not delay' (Exodus 12:39). ⚠️ But the command comes BEFORE the haste (12:15-20), so the bread is not merely a souvenir of hurry; it is a seven-day discipline of removing something.
