Magor-Missaviv מָגוֹר מִסָּבִיב magor missaviv

'Terror all around' — magor (dread) + missaviv (from every side): the name Jeremiah gives his jailer Pashhur after a night in the stocks (20:3), and the prophet's own signature phrase of dread (6:25; 46:5; 49:29; Psalm 31:13 borrows it). By 20:10 the street is chanting it back at him as a taunt. KJV runs it together as one grim word: 'Magormissabib.' → first discussed at Jer 20:3
