A hapax legomenon of disputed root and sense, standing in exactly one verse of the whole Hebrew Bible — Deuteronomy 34:7's closing ‘nor had his lechoh fled’, rendered here ‘vigor’ on context rather than on any other occurrence to fix it against. Most of the shelf agrees on some sense of vitality or natural force; the Douay-Rheims alone breaks from it, following the Vulgate to an entirely different part of the body — ‘neither were his TEETH moved’. → first discussed at Deut 34:7
