Time as the DECISIVE MOMENT — the right time, the opening, the hour when a thing can be done; the twin and opposite of chronos, which is mere duration. Classical Greek personified Kairos as a god with a forelock you must seize as he passes, since he is bald behind. The New Testament uses it for the appointed moment of God's action ('the kairos is fulfilled', Mark 1:15), which is why keeping it distinct from chronos matters: a calendar cannot predict a kairos. → first discussed at Acts 1:7
