Deuteronomy 33:29's closing line, ve-yikachashu oyveicha lakh, carries both senses at once: KJV and Douay-Rheims take the literal sense, ‘thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee’; ASV reads submission, ‘shall submit themselves’; NWT 1984 and NIV both read physical fear, ‘will cringe before you’.
