AGE, or STATURE — the word will not choose. ⚠ Luke uses it of HEIGHT at 19:3 (Zacchaeus was 'small in hēlikia') and John of AGE at 9:21 ('he is of hēlikia — ask him'). At Luke 12:25 / Matthew 6:27 even the commentators split: adding a cubit to your hēlikia is either eighteen inches of height or a span of life. So Luke 2:52, 'Jesus advanced in wisdom and hēlikia', may say he grew taller or may say he grew older. KJV and NIV both print 'stature'. → first discussed at Luke 2:52
