A BEAST — large land animals collectively, and especially domestic livestock, as against wild animals (chayyah) or creeping things. ⚠ Ecclesiastes 3:18 says God shows people she-hem behemah hemah, 'that they ARE beasts, they themselves', with an emphatic repeated pronoun and no comparison particle.
