I, MYSELF — the long, emphatic form of the pronoun (beside the ordinary ANI). Hebrew normally carries the subject inside the verb, so writing the pronoun out at all is emphasis, and using the long form doubles it. Genesis 46:4 uses it TWICE in one verse, at the border, to a frightened old man: 'ANOKHI will go down with you to Egypt, and ANOKHI will surely bring you up again.' The promise is not that the family will be spared the descent but that God is going into it with them and coming back out. The same word opens the Ten Commandments ('ANOKHI is Jehovah your God,' Exodus 20:2). KJV catches it with 'I will go down with thee… and I will also surely bring thee up again.' → first discussed at Gen 46:4
